Resolved Question: Problem with car tint.?

I just came back from Auto Magic Car detailing. My mom give me a gift card to get the back half of my scion tc tinted. It took only 30mins for them to do it. There were several problems I noticed. There are small bubbles through out the back window and around the side back windows. There are bubbles on the upper area on the back window where the blacks bar type things are, around the de-frost, and the upper portion is coming off. After the guy that put them in said there will be bubbles around the bars because they are far apart and the owner said if it persist they'll put vinyl up. The owner re-assured me that after 5 days when I bring it back it would look perfect. It's not that bad but its far from great and Im not satisfied. Its backed with a life time warranty. What should I do? Is this common after the first day of tinting or should I be worried. They have done good work for my co-worker. I have a new car and I would like my tinting to be done professional.

Voting Question: Record [Vinyl] Cover Cleaning?

Ok i just bought a Michael Jackson "Thriller" album on vinyl. I got it at a pawn shop and the cover and a few stains on it. It looks kinda like dried frosting on it, lol. But its deffiantly not frosting or it would of come off when i licked my finger and rubbed it. lol. So i was wondering if there is some kind of homemade "potion" you can make to clean the cover. That is safe to use on it. Thanks so much! PS. im 13 so i cant really just hope in my car and buy alot of expensive cleaning stuff. thanks <33

Resolved Question: How do people in snowy states maintain vinyl mobile-home skirting? Ice/snow falling off roof? Etc.?

I don't have an overhang on my roof, and the snow/ice falls off, piles up, and gets so heavy it pushes in against the skirting. Also, I have no cement pad under the trailer, so frost heaves may pose an additional problem.

Resolved Question: Are these records worth any money?

Celtic Frost - Morbid Tales (no poster) KLF - What time is love? STYX - Egyptian robot type face shaped vinyl LSD - Specially imported by E.M.I records - a documentary report on the current psychedelic drug controversy!, actual recordings of people under the influence of these drugs and the music. Comments by such LSD authorities as Sidney Cohen M.D and the controversial Dr Timothy Leary, Mrs Adious Huxley and Allen Ginsberg. Amazing record, very strange and even weirder...no year date on record or cover...

Resolved Question: Jack Frost is roasting on an open fire, chestnuts nip at your nose...?

Don't you think '08 has been a year for overreaction? "Global warming" "The modern-day Great Depression" to name two. One here is that they keep predicting we'll have some horrible snow or ice storms. And they closed several events over...two inches of snow. Poll: Latex gloves or vinyl gloves?

Resolved Question: Can I leave my intex vinyl pool liner and steel frame up empty with no water up throughout the winter?

I live in Missouri and emptied my pool but left about a foot of water in it to make it easier to clean (alge covered floor) but water evaporated before I got a chance to clean it and now it has sat like this for about 2 months and was wondering can I just leave it up on its frame (I have no cover-ran over it on the mower-big OOPS!) this winter and then clean it this spring? It's only getting to a high temp of about 50-60 degrees and burrr it will be cold out there cleaning it with the pressure washer. If I can't leave it up ..could I take it down and store it and then clean it this spring. We have had 2 frosts already....I really need your advice here.....thanks.

Resolved Question: Any good ideas on making a window frosted or privacy?

My house is very old 80-90 yrs. I cannot replace the window with a modern replacement without changing all of my windows which is a bunch due to historical society restrictions. The window is second floor but in a shower and privacy would be nice. I have already tried the stick on vinyl stuff from Home Depot with no luck.

Resolved Question: Can I close my inground pool without blowing out the lines (by lowering the water level below frost line)?

The pool builder told me I didn't need to blow out the lines, just drain the water below the frost line, put an inner tube in the water to prevent freezing, and something about opening drains in the filter or pump to allow for expansion. I know we did it during our first winter (8 years ago) and had no problems - but I don't remember all the details. Can anyone tell me the exact procedure for closing an inground pool without draining pipes? IOur pool is vinyl lined; sand filter, 22,000 gallons; one skimmer and one intake at the bottom of the deep end; two returns in the shallow end. (We're in Zone 6 - occasionally goes below 10 F) Thank you.

Resolved Question: What kind of curtain works best for a window in a shower? I don't want to use a vinyl shower curtain.?

The glass is the frosted privacy glass but you can still see at night. I've heard of teflon coated curtains but don't know where to buy it. A regular curtain will just end up being mildewed and yucky.
